NeuroVive-XR: Shaping the Future of Home Stroke Rehabilitation with Virtual Reality

Exploring the Impact of VR on Home Stroke Recovery –Study Planned in 2025

Reneural is proud to announce its participation in the Healthcare Technologies Capability Connector (HTCC) SME Accelerator program, an initiative designed to support innovative SMEs in the healthcare, biotech, and MedTech sectors. With the backing of Research England and led by the University of Hertfordshire, this collaboration will drive the development and testing of our NeuroVive-XR home based platform.

Co-founders Victor Harabari (CEO) stated: “We believe that NeuroVive will be an impactful tool for home stroke rehabilitation, bringing cutting-edge technology into patients’ homes to make recovery more accessible and personalised. This study represents a crucial step in our mission to empower stroke survivors with the tools they need for a faster, more effective recovery. By collaborating with HTCC and leveraging their expert support, we’re confident this will redefine the future of neurorehabilitation.”

Driving Innovation with our Partners

The HTCC SME Accelerator program provides a bespoke support package valued at up to £37,000 for each participating business. These resources will enable us to carry out a study project aimed at validating and enhancing NeuroVive-XR in real-world settings.

The program is delivered through the collective expertise of the University of Hertfordshire, Cranfield University, and Imperial College London. This partnership underscores a shared commitment to accelerating impactful innovations that improve patient outcomes and advance healthcare solutions.

Key aspects of the study include:

  • Involvement of End-Users: Engaging therapists and stroke survivors to test the platform in home environments.
  • Software Development: Leveraging the funding to enhance the software, ensuring it meets the needs of diverse users.
  • Output Deliverables: Producing a comprehensive study outcome report and a draft publication to further disseminate findings within the academic and professional community.

Advancing NeuroRehabilitation

The NeuroVive-XR platform shows Reneural’s mission to make cutting-edge neurorehabilitation accessible to patients everywhere. By collaborating with HTCC, we are advancing this vision, using feedback from real-world testing to refine our technology for optimal user outcomes
