Collaborative Project Advances New Technologies for Stroke Survivors with Support from Brunel University and Local Clinicians
CardioCrown is proud to announce the successful completion of a collaborative project with Brunel University under the Brunel Innovation Voucher Scheme. This initiative was designed to foster partnerships between Brunel University and UK-based SMEs, offering companies an opportunity to drive product innovation through the University’s academic and research resources. CardioCrown’s project, focused on enhancing the quality of life for stroke survivors, benefitted greatly from the scheme’s £5,000 innovation voucher. The scheme’s benefits include access to Brunel University’s advanced research facilities, experienced academic network, and industry contacts.
Victor Harbari, CEO of CardioCrown, shared his thoughts on the collaboration: “Our partnership with Brunel University has been invaluable, providing us with access to world-class facilities and expert support. The usability testing and feedback from therapists and stroke survivors have been crucial to refining our product. We are grateful for this collaboration and the impact it will have on the lives of stroke survivors.”
As part of the project, CardioCrown generated a report with feedback from clinicians and stroke survivors, with clinical insight led by Cherry Kilbride and Kalea Stagg from Brunel. The testing sessions, which took place at Hillingdon Hospital and community stroke groups in Uxbridge and Hounslow, provided critical feedback on the initial product iterations. This feedback has driven further development and refinement, ensuring the final product meets the needs of both patients and healthcare providers.
